RIFTEK has just introduced a new model of line laser scanner. The scanner is intended for sensing of profile of fast moving large-size objects in particular for monitoring of volume of rock transported on a conveyor.
A specific feature of the scanner is the use of a high-power (more than 1 W) IR laser, which allows obtaining the scanning width of 500 mm and speed of 1500 profiles/s. The laser scanner contains integrated controller, does not require any additional control units and plugs directly via an Ethernet. The final system consists of three synchronously operating scanners positioned in line to perform scanning of a conveyor of 1.5 m wide.
